This unique cut is a cross between a prime rib and a brisket – amazingly juicy with exceptional flavor and tenderness. Great for a smaller group, our 3-pound Certified Akaushi Beef tri tip feeds 3-4 people and cooks in about 3 hours, compared to an 11-pound brisket which can take 12 hours to smoke. Our favorite way to cook tri tip? On the barbeque pit, Texas style. You can also cook it in the oven at 250-300 degrees or in the slow cooker. Season well with salt, pepper and barbeque seasoning to amplify the flavor. Tri tips average 3 pounds.
