Tejas Thai Burgers by Chef de la Vie
Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds HeartBrand Ground Beef 1/2 cup Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal 6 tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter 3 tablespoons Sour Cream 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice 4 teaspoons Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons Fresh Coriander, Chopped 2 teaspoons Fresh Ginger, Grated 1/2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes 6 Miniature Jalapeno Cheese Hamburger Buns (Silver Dollar Rolls substitute) 3 Lettuce Leaves (halved)
Preparation
Preheat grill. Combine peanut butter, sour cream, 1 tablespoon of lime juice and 2 teaspoons soy sauce. Mix until smooth. In a separate bowl combine ground beef, oatmeal, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon lime juice, coriander, ginger and red pepper flakes. Knead together and form into patties. Place patties on grill and cook until done. Remove from grill and place on buns and top with peanut sauce and lettuce. Makes: 6 sliders |
